Fairway Restaurant / Jimmy Fund Golf Classic

TO BENEFIT THE JIMMY FUND

Fairway Restaurant / Jimmy Fund Golf Classic to benefit the Jimmy Fund is scheduled to be held at Captain’s Golf Course on September 13, 2006. Part of the Jimmy Fund Golf Program, this tournament is one of the more than 150 tournaments being held in 2005 to support cancer research and care at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. 
Featuring a Scramble, Fairway Restaurant / Jimmy Fund Golf Classic is open to the public. Registration is $125.00/ person or $500.00/team of 4 and includes 18-holes/ cart, a welcome bag (shirt, balls, tees, etc.) and dinner following the tournament. 

In its 6th year, Fairway Restaurant / Jimmy Fund Golf Classic hopes to raise $20,000 for the Jimmy Fund. 
“Over the 23 years that the Jimmy Fund has had an organized golf program, the golfing community has been incredibly supportive and has helped to raise more than $42 million for cutting edge research and care at Dana-Farber,” says Mike Andrews, chairman of the Jimmy Fund. 

Major sponsors of the Jimmy Fund Golf Program include American Airlines, Dunkin Donuts, Callaway Golf, The International and Community Newspaper Company. Sponsors of the Fairway Restaurant / Jimmy Fund Golf Classic include local sponsors such as Cape Associates, Eastham Hardware, BankNorth, Kerry Insurance, Miller Time Fishing Charters, Caledonian Landscape & Design, Nauset Marine, Seaside Liquors and S&D Coffee Company.

Since 1983, the Jimmy Fund Golf Program has provided men and women the opportunity to support critical cancer research and patient care through participation in their favorite pastime - golf. Golfers get to enjoy the unique opportunity of playing on a variety of prestigious private courses while supporting Dana-Farber Cancer Institute at the same time. 

Tee-off for Fairway Restaurant / Jimmy Fund Golf Classic is scheduled for 1:00pm with registration beginning at 12:00am. The reception is slated to begin at 6:00pm.
